Renovation of an educational facility in Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 17,142-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility.

NOTICE TO BIDDERS All work for the complete construction of the Project will be under one single prime contract between the Contractor and the Owner based on bids received and on combinations awarded. The Construction Manager (Kettelhut Construction, Inc.) will manage the construction of the Project. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. All bids may be held for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days before awarding contracts. The Vinton-Tecumseh School Building Corporation reserves the right to assign each contract awarded under these instructions, in whole or part, applying to only a portion of the Work, to the Building Corporation which will lease that whole or part to the Vinton-Tecumseh School Building Corporation. Where a part of the work under any contract is assigned, all the work under that contract shall be administered jointly by the Owners as separate contracts in accordance with the Contract Documents. Secure copies of the Bidding Documents from Construction Manager on the following deposit/return basis, with the deposit made payable to the Owner. A. One set of Bidding Documents consists of one set of Project Manual Specifications and one complete set of Drawings; and shall be made available on one diskette or other electronic media. Hard copies are to be printed at the Contractors expense. Bidders are urged to attend a Pre-Bid Conference with representatives of the Owner, Architect, and Kettelhut Construction, Inc. present to discuss construction sequence, continuous operation, security, Contractor's work, storage areas and requirements for Contractor's personnel working around the existing facility. A tour of the facilities will be held in conjunction with the Pre-Bid Conference. Prime Bidders may, in lieu of picking up Bidding Documents, request that the Construction Manager send Bidding Documents, including addenda to them. The request shall be made by letter giving adequate information related to the company name and address for sending Bidding Documents. The Construction Manager will send Bidding Documents, including Addenda, to non-bidders for this project by either United States Postal Service or United Parcel Service. The Construction Manager shall not be held responsible for receipt of Bidding Documents sent via United States Postal Service or United Parcel Service. Shipping costs to be paid by Contractor.
