Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Independence, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
This project will convert the intersection of Winner, Northern and 18th Street in the Englewood Arts District into a roundabout. The project willremove the existing signal and make bike/ped improvements at the intersection, connecting into the improvements made in Phases 1 through 3 of the Englewood program. This project continues the ongoing multi-phase investments in the Englewood Arts District. The project will improve traffic safety along thecorridor; the elimination of the signal will improve the sustainability of costs associated with traffic operations. This project is included in the city's 2021-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 11, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
