Question Cutoff Date 2/24/2022 04:30:00 PM (ET) Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, executed by the Bidder and a duly authorized surety company, certified check, or cashier's check made unconditionally payable to the Springfield Public Schools R-12 for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid or bids submitted. The bid security pledges that the Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner on the terms stated in the Bid and will, if required, furnish bonds covering the faithful performance of the Contract and payment of all obligations arising thereunder. Bid Bond shall be written by a surety firm acceptable to the Owner, and shall guarantee that: if the Bidder is awarded Contract with Owner within thirty (30) days from the date bids were received, he will enter into a contract with the Owner within ten (10) days after receipt of notice of award, and that a Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the amount of the Contract will be provided as required by Article 7. Should Alternate 1 be accepted, Work shall commence June 31, 2022, Substantial Completion shall be August 5, 2022, Final Completion shall be September 2, 2022. Work will be limited to the all purpose room and Alternate 1 area hallway until June 20, 2022. Should Base Bid be accepted without alternate 1, the Work shall commence June 20, 2022, Substantial Completion shall be July 29, 2022, and Final Completion shall be August 26, 2022. Bidder understands that the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
