Site work, paving and outdoor lighting for a mixed-use development in Bakersfield, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The work to be performed consists, in general, of two phases. Phase one, the Contractor shall furnish and install: conduit, foundations for light poles, and replace sidewalk, asphalt and landscaping. The City shall furnish and the Contractor shall install the light poles, pull boxes, and pull box lids. Phase two, the City shall furnish and install: conductors, splicing, luminaires, pull box grounding, and pole numbering. This bid is for Phase one, which is the Contractor's responsibility. The Contractor shall furnish and install the following for the street light improvements as shown on the plans and in these special provisions: o Light pole foundation (excavate, install, soil compaction, apron), pull box apron, pull box gravel bed, pull ropes, pull box drain, conduits, and replace sidewalk, asphalt, and landscaping. The City of Bakersfield shall furnish and the Contractor shall install the following for the street light improvements as shown on the plans and in these special provisions: o Light poles, pull boxes, and pull box lids. Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 100.00% Performance Bond 100.00% Liquidated Damages $1,000 per day Project Duration 30 working days License Requirements Class A or C-10
