** This project has been awarded to HB Hansen in the amount of $2,286,000. ** Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond with a Statelicensed surety in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total combined bid, made payable to Nooksack Valley School District. The successful bidder shall be required, to furnish a one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Material Bonds for each Project, including Washington State sales tax. Such bonds shall be furnished by a surety company acceptable to the Owner. No bidder may withdraw its bid after the time set for the opening thereof, unless the award of contract is delayed for a period exceeding forty-five (45) days. Scope of the project: Nooksack Valley High School is an existing single story, 147,640 sq. ft., facility. This project includes four ma in areas of work; the Annex Gym, District Office, PAC, and Student Toilets. The Annex Gym consists of approx. 6,109 sf of renovation work. The District Office consists of approx. 4,487 sf of remodel work. The PAC consists of approx. 5,393 sf of renovation work. The Student Toilets consist of approx. 1,667 sf of remodel and renovation work. Base Bid Cost estimate: $2,000,000. The Nooksack Valley School District intends (but is not bound) to award a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, provided the bids have been submitted in accordance with the bid requirements of the Bidding Documents and do not exceed the funds available. The Owner shall have the right to waive informalities and to accept a bid, which, in the Owner's judgment is in the District's best interest.
