The Mill Valley School District will receive bids for the award of a contract for the Mill Valley School District, Bid No. 2021/22-01 MVSD, Mill Valley Shade Structure Project. Start Date: June 13, 2022 Time of Completion: August 5, 2022 For contracts involving expenditures in excess of $25,000.00, the successful bidder shall file a payment bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business in California, in the form set forth in the Contract Documents. Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the maximum amount of the aggregate bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Notice to Bidders. This is a public works projects and is subject to prevailing wage requirements. Contractors and Subcontractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code 1725.5 and shall be required to comply with all local, state and federal laws and regulations. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor at the time of the bid pursuant to the Business and Professions Code and such license(s) shall remain in active and good standing for the duration of the contract. The bidder shall be licensed in one or more of the following classifications: Class A or B or both. All forms must be completed, signed and returned with the bid. No forms transmitted via the internet, e-mail, facsimile or any other electronic means will be considered. The contract award will be based on the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Minority, women and disabled veteran contractors are encouraged to submit bids. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities in the bid process.
