As of December 16, 2024, the Joint Powers Agency signed Union Labor Agreements with CA Trades Councils for construction and rail labor coalition for operation and maintenance. This project also received an $8million CasSTA Transit & Intercity Rail Capital Program grant award for 30% engineering and design in April 2023. As the project advances, LA Metro And High Desert Corridor will contract staff to prepare the 30% engineering design documents.
