The North Charleston Sewer District is accepting Bids from qualified licensed Contractors for Anoxic Baffling Improvement Project to install FRP baffles, precast concrete baffle, and 4 electronic gate actuators as well as replace six 24 inch knife gate valves and CCTV pipes. . North Charleston Sewer District reserves the right to reject any and all bids. This project is needed to 1. Install FRP baffles in anoxic zone of three aeration basins 2. Install precast concrete baffle in influent channel of the Intermediate Screw Lift Station 3. Install four electronic gate actuators on existing gates at the Intermediate Screw Lift Station 4. Replace six 24" knife gate valves in RAS gallery with owner supplied valves 5. CCTV RAS and Primary Effluent pipes during shutdowns for other work Each Bidder must visit the site of proposed work and fully acquaint himself with conditions relating to construction and labor so he may fully understand facilities, difficulties, and restrictions attending execution of work under contract. By executing the Agreement, the Contractor represents that he has visited the site, familiarized himself with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed, and correlated his observations with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Bidder shall confine examination to the specific areas designated for the proposed construction, including easements and public Right-of-ways. If, due to some unforeseen reason, the Owner's proceedings for obtaining the proposed construction site (including easements) have not been completed, the Bidder may enter the site only with the express consent of the property owner. The Bidder is solely responsible for any damages caused by his examination of the site
