**As of June 30, 2022, project was awarded to Beaverdam Builders, LCC, awarded amount is $109,288.75. ** The Scope of Work consists of renovating a 1,126 square foot brick warehouse structure into a community center at the rear of the Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, Inc. located at 331 E. Dover Street, Easton, Maryland. Renovation work includes: repointing of all brick exterior, major repairs to eroded brick, powerwash and exterior coating sealant, remove and replace windows, removal of interior walls, leveling and installation of new hardwood floors, replace drywall on walls and ceilings, creation of attic storage space, installation of lighting, a/c units, removal of old and installation of new bathroom facility, interior painting, installation of a licensed kitchen to include hood fire suppression system. Partial funding for this project is through a Maryland Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). All federal CDBG requirements shall apply to the contract including Davis-Bacon Act and the Contract Work Hours and Safety Act. The contractor(s) shall also comply with HUD Form 4010 Federal Labor Standards. All submitted bids shall be valid for ninety (90) calendar days after the close of the bid period. Contractor(s) will abide by the Copeland Act and agree not to kickback any part of laborers wages. Bidders agree to pay workers weekly and to maintain payroll records in accordance with HUD Form 4010 Federal Labor Standards. Minority contractors are encouraged to bid. In addition to the sealed bid proposal, proof of Worker s Compensation Insurance, references, and the ability to fulfill the terms of the contract must be included. BID SURETY: 5% Bid Bond, Cashier s Check or Certified Check to be submitted with the Sealed Proposal. CONTRACT BONDS: The successful Bidder shall submit a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor & Materials Payment Bond upon award of contract.
