Site work and paving for a road / highway in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
In order to accommodate increased traffic on Menomonie Street associated with the construction of an event center it is anticipated several upgrades to the street will be necessary. It is anticipated that portions of Menomonie Street may need to be widened to accommodate the addition of dedicated turn lanes. The specific location(s) of these enhancements will need to be identified through a traffic impact analysis. In addition, it is anticipated intersection improvements will be necessary at the intersection of Menomonie Street and Carson Park Drive and Menomonie Street and Tenth Avenue. This project is included in the city’s fy 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program. As of March 12, 2025, there is not a timeline for construction. It depends on available funding. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
