Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Burnaby, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 30,000-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

Rebuild of Fire Hall No. 4 with a new replacement structure as the current building. The existing Fire Hall No. 4 is located at 2326 Duthie Ave, at the South East corner of the junction between Gibson Street and Duthie Ave. Features of Fire Station 4: 15,000 square feet, on two levels, 3 drive-through bays for vehicles, separated decontamination space for crews, seismically designed to meet post disaster standards, low-carbon heating and operations. The City also wishes to build an additional Fire Hall (Fire Hall No. 8) to serve the growing community on Burnaby Mountain. on University Drive between Nelson Way and Tower Road on the east side of Burnaby Mountain. Features of Fire Station 8: 15,000 square feet, on two levels, 3 drive-through bays for vehicles, separated decontamination space for crews, seismically designed to meet post disaster standards, low-carbon heating and operations. TIMELINE: Fire Station 4 on Duthie Avenue began construction October 2022, with completion by the end of 2023. City began construction on Fire Station 8, early 2023, and is expected to be operational in 2024.
