The purposes of this RFB is to select a contractor for the construction of a new retaining wall and the removal of an existing wall. The existing surface conditions of the site is dirt and existing retaining wall. The City is also performing all landscaping at the conclusion of the project. The contractor is expected to perform all items according to the drawings and specifications contained in engineered plans. The contractor is responsible for any stabilization of power/utility poles or earth embankments during construction. Contractor is responsible for backfill, compaction and rough grading of the completed retaining wall. Kaysville City will be responsible for all finish landscaping. The City is desirous for construction to be completed by April 30, 2023. See attached plan drawings for details. The Parks & Recreation Department, Cemetery Division is requesting a bid for removal and construction of a new retaining wall by the Cemetery office and adjacent property line, located at Kaysville City Cemetery (425 E. Crestwood Rd., Kaysville, UT 84037). Current condition of the area is dirt (City side and vegetated on private owners side). The City is interested in a new construction proposal. The City will select the proposal based on the following criteria: Technical competence Experience constructing similar projects Overall performance history based upon a contractors entire body of work.
