Contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, fees, and all other services necessary, to provide the following well drilling services: Drill an 8-inch nominal diameter well to an estimated depth of 600 feet; Install a 5-inch nominal diameter casing and well screen, or slotted casing in the well; Install a suitable filter pack, if required by conditions encountered; Install a sanitary seal to a minimum depth of 50 feet below the surface, or, at a depth required by conditions encountered; and, Install a high-quality submersible well pump, drop pipe, and conductors, for power. Potential Bidders may submit written questions regarding the bid by 2:00 p.m. on February 25, 2022. If contractor fails to pay liquidated damages, CAL FIRE may deduct from contractor the amount from any money due under the contract. The contractor shall not be assessed liquidated damages for delay in completion of the project when such delay was caused by failure of the public agency or owner of the utility to provide for removal or relocation of utility facilities. For all contracts exceeding $25,000, Contractor shall furnish a Payment Bond on form STD. 807 in an amount not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The awarding agency reserves the right to reject all bids. The agency is not required to award an agreement. The State may reject any or all bids and may waive an immaterial deviation in a bid.
