As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the States twenty-five percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW) are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by October 26, 2023. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via mail to Rommel.Disuanco@dot.ca.gov. bond shall be no less than 10 percent (10%) of bidder’s total bid, Payment Bond Requirement: The successful bidder will be required to provide, prior to commencement of work under a Service Request price, a Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the total Service Request The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which Contractor is to repair and/or replace damaged Metal Beam Guardrail (MBGR), Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) barrier, Thrie Beam Barrier, channel rail, and other highway components for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, parts, incidentals, travel, traffic control, and equipment necessary to provide these repair and replacement services to and for Caltrans, as described in this Agreement, on an on-call, as-needed basis.
