The projects include streambank restoration work at four different locations: NatureWorksPark - Hollidaysburg Borough and Cross Keys Village, Maple Hollow Townhouses ,and Yohn Property - Allegheny Township. Details and designs for each project will be included in the BID documents. Said bids will be accepted for review and awarded or rejected at the board meeting of the Blair County Conservation District on March 21, 2022 at 7:30 pm local time at the same location. No responsibility will be attached to any District representative for premature opening of a bid not properly addressed and identified. All projects included in the bid must be entirely and adequately completed by July 31, 2022. Notice to proceed will be given following the bid award and work should be completed during periods of low stream flow. Due to the funding sources provided for these projects, each successful bidder will be required to comply with the Prevailing Minimum Wage of PA Department of Labor and Industry, (Act 422 of 1961, P.L. 987 amended) and/or Davis-Bacon Act (40 USC 276a to a-7) as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR, Part 5). The successful bidder will be required to execute contract documents. Evidence of insurance coverage as described in the bid documents must be furnished prior to issuance of a contract and the commencement of work. The District reserves the right to postpone or cancel receipt of bids, and to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part of the best interest of the District will be served thereby. These projects are funded in part by Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
