Notice is hereby given that the Kern Community College District (OWNER) will receive sealed bids for the Porterville College SMSR 2021-22 Roof Repairs/Recoating-Multiple Buildings Project. The following notice is given as required by Labor Code Section 1771.5(b)(1): CONTRACTOR and any subcontractors are required to review and comply with the provisions of the California Labor Code, Part 7, Chapter I, beginning with Section 1720, as more fully discussed in the Contract Documents. These sections contain specific requirements concerning, for example, determination and payment of prevailing wages, retention, inspection, and auditing payroll records, use of apprentices, payment of overtime compensation, securing workers' compensation insurance, and various criminal penalties or fines which may be imposed for violations of the requirements of the chapter. Submission of a bid constitutes CONTRACTORS's representation that CONTRACTOR has thoroughly reviewed these requirements. In order to perform the work required by this contract, CONTRACTOR must possess the following type of license/certification issued by the State of California: C-39. The Board of Trustees of the Kern Community College District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or waive any irregularities in a bid. Provide all labor, materials in addition to owner provided and equipment for a complete working systems per the below listed sections 07563 and 01640 regarding the Fitness Bldg., Library Bldg., and LRC Bldg. Work to be completed per all applicable codes, regulations and manufacturer recommendations. Project estimate is $350,000.00
