*As of 3/10/22, this project is on hold. A new timeline has not been established. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with the conditions and shall understand that full cooperation in executing the requirements of the Scope of Work is expected. The bidder shall submit, with the proposal, a certified or cashiers check or a bid bond for an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal to guarantee. The awarded bidder will enter into contract and obtain required bonds (performance, statutory bond & defect bond) in agreement with the requirements of the Solicitation. The check must be payable to the order of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. The bonds are a State requirement on all construction bids over $50,000.00. All contractors that desire to provide the OTA with manual service work are required by State statute to complete an employee E-Verify Form. The work to be performed under ITB 2022-001 consists of: The design, fabrication, and delivery to the site of a precast reinforced concrete arch bridge structure and the design of a reinforced concrete foundation system supported on either piles or drilled shafts to replace Turnpike-Over (TPO) Bridges 22.10 North and South at the Wellston Interchange on the Turner Turnpike (I-44). The structure length requires transportation tunnel design criteria be satisfied. The Awarded Manufacturer will need to coordinate with the design consultant to meet the requirements for fire protection, ventilation, and lighting. The structure shall be an arch-shape to minimize or eliminate ventilation equipment needs and to provide space for lighting equipment. The structure shall also accommodate the standpipe requirements for fire protection. The Awarded Manufacturer will deliver the completed structure components to the OTA project site at the Wellston Interchange. The Awarded Manufacturer shall coordinate delivery of the structural components. The foundation system will be constructed by others. The precast reinforced concrete bridge structure components will be installed by others. The precast bridge structure components are to be delivered to the site by the Awarded Manufacturer on an agreed upon date corresponding to the OTAs schedule between December 5, 2022 and April 3, 2023. Structure components may be delivered to the site when fabrication is complete and stored there until they are installed by others. The precast concrete arch bridge structure dimensions are as follows: c 720' long * 66' long clear span * minimum vertical clearance at the edge of the shoulder/curb line is 17-0" and 24'-0" vertical clearance at the centerline
In awarding the contract the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, and to act for the best interest of the OTA without technicalities as to procedure. Policies of insurance will not be cancelled without first giving the OTA thirty (30) calendar days advance notice. This statement must be on the Description of Operations section of the Certificate of Insurance. Upon award of contract to a successful bidder, the contract will be completely and correctly executed by the contractor and returned to the OTA within twenty (20) calendar days from date of award. The OTA will have thirty (30) working days from the date of award to complete its execution of the contract.
