Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Brownwood, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility; for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; elderly care / assisted living facility; and elderly care / assisted living facility.
A bid bond in the amount of 10 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each proposal. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Brownwood or negotiable U.S Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the prevailing wage rate must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful proposer must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City Council retains the right to reject any and all proposals submitted and to waive any irregularities in the bids. The City Council reserves the right to cancel the project without any obligation to the proposers. The City Council may award the proposal to the proposer that presents the best value for the City pursuant to Gov t Code Section 2269.055 using the criteria set forth herein. In determining best value for the City, the City Council shall consider: (1) the price; (2) the reputation and experience of the contractor; (3) the quality of the contractor s services; (4) the impact on the ability of the City to comply with rules relating to historically underutilized businesses; (5) the contractor s safety record; (6) the contractor s proposed personnel and (7) whether the contractor s financial capability is appropriate to the size and scope of the project; and (8) the contractor s past relationship with the City (the Proposal Evaluation Criteria ). Following receipt of Proposals, each Proposal will be ranked according to the Proposal Evaluation Criteria within 7 days of the opening date. The City will select the proposer that demonstrates the best value for the City based on the Proposal Evaluation Criteria. The City will first attempt to negotiate a contract with the selected proposer. Negotiations may include options for scope or time modification and any related price change. If the City is unable to negotiate a contract with the selected proposer, the City will, formally and in writing, end negotiations with that proposer and proceed to the next ranked proposer until a contract is reached or all proposals are rejected. The City may select representatives to assist in ranking and negotiations. Award of Contract, if any, will be made by formal action of the City of Brownwood City Council. Scope- Build out 12x14' Room for Senior Citizen's Center Drive - Thru Expansion and Modify ADA Ramp. Enclose front porch area as shown on the CONCEPTUAL PORCH ENCLOSURE. Senior Citizen's Center located at 110 South Greenleaf, Brownwood Texas 76801 - Drive - Thru Expansion as Shown on the CONCEPTUAL AWNING ENCLOSURE PLAN, including: Demolish Approximately 5' x 13' Existing ADA Ramp o Install 5' x 13' ADA,Ramp w/Handrail to match existing o Add 12'x14'xT Concrete Foundation to match elevation of existing Building o Build Out 12 x14' Room under existing Awning including;(Furnish and) Install DriveThrough Window, (Furnish and) Install Door to Existing Building, (Furnish and) Install Necessary Electrical Extensions and Hardware and Fixtures, (Furnish and) Install Necessary Heating/Airconditioning Vents, Extensions, Hardware and Fixtures. Senior Citizen's Center located at 110 South Greenleaf, Brownwood Texas 76801 - Citizens Porch Enclosure as shown on the CONCEPTUAL PORCH ENCLOSURE PLAN, Including: DEMOLISH & REMOVE: o Remove 30' x 12' glass foyer front o Remove 3' x 2' x T decorative rock that is concreted in slab o Remove 20' of guardrail o Remove 18' of 1 'x 8" curb around planter and remove 6 CY of planter soil o Remove 10' of T x 8" curb around planter and remove 2 CY of planter soil o Remove 6' x 5' ADA Ramp o Cutback Handrail T and reattach to wall RECONSTRUCT & BUILDOUT Enclose 30' x 18' porch area Patch in slab where planters were Install 11'x 12' wall Install 30' x 12' glass building front Install 5' automatic sliding door Enclose 6' x 12' opening. Install 3.0 solid glass door Install 5' x 6' ADA ramp Install 18' x 4' pony wall. Install 18' x 8' accordion room divider above pony wall Install 30' T x 8" curb to tie planters back in Interior, exterior and flooring to match main building Electrical work in compliance with the 2017 NEC Contractor is to furnish all materials and perform all labor necessary to complete scope of work described. Furnish and install equipment, components, and materials new, complete, fully functional and in service, including necessary associated or incidental work, repairs, and appurtenances. Remove and dispose of waste material, scrap, and debris. Project must be 100% completed and ready for operation by April 1, 2023. Project must include up to a one year warranty on workmanship, material, and equipment. Contractor is to perform the following work and repairs:
