Site work and remodeling of a mixed-use development in Orem, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified Construction Managers and General Contractors to contract with the City of Orem to help facilitate the completion of the design, construction, and construction oversight of a major remodel of Hillcrest Elementary School and construction of a new Hillcrest Community Park located at approximately 630 East 1400 South, Orem, Utah 84057. The renovated facility should enhance the quality of life of the residents of Orem by providing positive activity spaces and programs for users while also creating a pleasing aesthetic structure. The majority of the existing school will be demolished. The gym portion of the building will remain. Desired improvements for the existing facility include a new entrance, new mechanical room and equipment, restrooms that will serve the park patrons as well as the interior patrons, parking lot modifications, splash pad installation, upgrades to the interior gym multi-sport court flooring, installation of two new playground structures, and various other upgrades.
