As of 4/20/22 this has not been awarded. Drilling and Construction of two new public drinking water supply wells. The prequalification procedure will select and prequalify Well Drilling Contractors to bid the drilling of the Project. The work for the Project includes the drilling of two deep wells, Well #10 and the relocation of Well #1. Both wells will be used for drinking water purposes. Question Submission Close Date 1/27/2022 4:00 PM MST Well #10 will be constructed on property and easements owned by the City of Orem at 400 South 400 West, Orem, Utah. The well will be drilled on the northeast corner of the existing lot. The relocated Well #1 will be constructed on property owned by the City at approximately 651 East 1400 South. The Project in general includes drilling and construction of two new public drinking water supply wells with the following major design elements: Drilling of an exploratory well using reverse mud rotary methods. Water quality testing during the exploratory well drilling phase. Drilling a production well if the exploratory well is favorable. Production well for Well #10 will be 24-inch diameter to a depth of approximately 1,200 feet. Production well for Well #1 Relocation will be 20-inch to 24-inch diameter (as determined by Engineer) to a depth of approximately 700 feet to 1,200 feet. Well will be screened and gravel packed. Work will include all drilling, logging, casing, surface seal, development, test pumping, and well head completion. Final development of the wells is to be completed using the Dual-Swab with Pumping method by a Cable-Tool drilling rig. The wells will also be developed with the test pump and pump tested to determine performance.
