Ohio is requesting qualifications and experience statements from qualified engineering firms (under ORC 153.65-.69) to provide professional services for project design and project management for the purposes of converting The Meadows at Osborn Park s skilled nursing facility from an electric heating source to natural gas. Project summary is as follows: The Meadows at Osborn Park Natural Gas Conversion Scope: The project shall include replacing (12) rooftop units which currently serve resident rooms with (20) new gas-fired units. This phase also includes eight (8) additional units to improve zoning within the clusters and enhance resident comfort by avoiding multiple exposures on a single unit. The existing units located within the mechanical room of each resident cluster will remain. Ventilation air for the patient rooms will be supplied by new RTU s so the current electrically heated ventilation units will no longer be utilized. The eight (8) additional RTU s will require new roof curbs and minor interior duct modifications to accommodate the new zoning strategy. Professional design services shall be completed by 07/15/2022. Selection will be by Erie County staff and elected officials to select the most qualified firm after which the negotiation of a contract will follow. Erie County will follow competitive negotiation procurement procedures. Erie County reserves the right to reject any or all statements of qualifications, to waive technical or legal deficiencies, to proceed or not to proceed with any subsequent proposal process, or to negotiate without further process any contract as may be in the best interest of the County.
