Nelson Sjostrom, Property Maintenance Code Official for the City of Rockford has determined that the following buildings are VACANT AND OPEN AND ARE IMMEDIATE AND CONTINUING HAZARDS TO THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY: 949 S 3rd Street 11-26-329-028 1615 9th Avenue 11-25-333-004 920 Kent Street 11-27-138-002 1214-1216 7th Street 11-26-482-004 609 Blake Street 11-27-207-016 715 Lincoln Avenue 11-27-330-030 1201 8th Street 11-26-482-015 532 Indiana Avenue 11-27-454-006 Property Standards Department has inspected the buildings at the above-referenced addresses, and pursuant to 65 ILCS 5/11-31-1(e), found them to be open and vacant and immediate and continuing hazards to the community. Be advised that the City of Rockford will demolish, repair or enclose the buildings or remove any garbage, debris or other hazardous, noxious or unhealthy substances or materials if the owners or lien holders fail to do so within 30 days of the date of this notice. A lien will be filed against the properties to recover any costs the City of Rockford incurs to complete said action. You may contest this action by filing your objection in an appropriate form with the Winnebago County Clerk. If you have any questions with this procedure please contact a private attorney.
