Scope: vegetation management (fuels reduction) work along approximately 28.5 miles of County roadways both within and beyond ECSD boundaries. Grant funds from the California Climate Initiative program through CalFire will be used for this "Elk Evacuation Fuelbreak Phase I" project. The ECSD seeks bids from licensed Registered Professional Foresters to perform all work identified in the Request for Proposal (RFP) posted to the ECSD website. Electronic versions of bids will not be accepted. Selection by the Board of Directors of the ECSD will be made based upon: bid price, experience and qualifications, and perceived social/environmental/ community benefits. Bidders must be currently licensed and registered professional foresters in good standing, or a business with a licensed RPF in good standing on staff that shall be assigned to, and fully responsible for this project work. The RPF and any subcontractors hired by the RPF shall comply with all applicable Federal and State tax and labor laws and provide liability and workers' compensation insurance as called for in the RFP.
