Renovation of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The Bloor-Yonge Capacity Improvements Project is an initiative to significantly increase the station's passenger capacity, as well as improve station systems, finishes, and back-of-house infrastructure. Work will include the construction of a second platform on Line 2 for eastbound service, an expansion of the Line 1 northbound and southbound platforms, new elevators, escalators and stairs, and the construction of a new accessible entrance and exit on the south side of Bloor Street East. Three (3) prequalified teams are as follows: (1) Bloor-Yonge Crossline Partners - Team Lead: Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. (2) EllisDon-Barnard Joint-Venture, JV between EllisDon Civil Ltd. and Barnard Constructors of Canada LP - Team Lead: EllisDon Civil Ltd (3) Kenaidan Murphy Joint -Venture, JV between Kenaidan Infrastructure Ltd and Murphy Infrastructure Inc (KMJV) - Team Lead: Kenaidan Infrastructure Ltd. TIMELINE: As of February 24, 2025, the contract has been awarded to Kenaidan Murphy Joint Venture (KMJV). KMJV will work collaboratively with the TTC to advance the design of the BYCI project to approximately 70 per cent and develop a schedule and target pricing for implementation; this phase is expected to take approx. 2 years. Once the development phase is completed, TTC Board approval will be required to move to the implementation phase, where station design will be completed and construction will begin. *The total cost for the Bloor-Yonge Station Capacity Improvement project is currently estimated at $1.5 billion, to be funded jointly by the City of Toronto, the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada.
