The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Work as more specifically described in the Contract Documents. The Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction and applicable regulations, and includes, but not limited to: Demolition includes but is not limited to tack boards, tack board walls, FRP boards, anything in the way of new construction. Installation of gyp board on two walls of each classroom as required. Painting includes but is not limited to, sanding/patching and painting of walls, doors, ceilings, door and window frames, tall cabinets, wire molds, conduits, and AC ducts and grills. Repair of ceiling and floor tiles as required. Installation of white boards (OFCI.) Installation of new tack boards. Strip and wax floors, clean windows and blinds, wash and vacuum carpet at the end of each phase. 4. Estimate; Funding. It is District policy that estimates of the costs to construct the Work, Project funding and Project Budgets are not published or disclosed. SUBMITTING PRE-BID QUESTIONS March 11, 2022 9:00 AM Bid Proposals submitted by Pre-Qualified Bidders; a Bid Proposal submitted by a Bidder who is not a Pre-Qualified Bidder will be rejected for non-responsiveness. For purposes of the foregoing, a Pre-Qualified Bidder includes the Bidder and the Bidder's mechanical, electrical and/or plumbing subcontractors who are licensed in the following classifications: C-4(Boiler, Hot Water Heating and Steam Fitting); C-7 (Low Voltage Systems); C-10 (Electrical); C-16 (Fire Protection); C-20 (Warm- Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning); C-34 (Pipeline); C-36 (Plumbing); C-38 (Refrigeration); C-42 (Sanitation); C-43 (Sheet Metal); and C-46 (Solar). Any Bidder who is not currently a District Pre-Qualified Bidder must submit a completed Pre-Qualification Application not less than ten (10) business days before the latest date for submitting Bid Proposals and been deemed a Pre-Qualified Bidder not less than five (5) business days before the latest date for submitting Bid Proposals. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises ("DVBE") Participation Goal. Pursuant to Education Code 17076.11, the District has promulgated a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) Program, which establishes a three percent (3%) Participation Goal for DVBEs. Bidders who do not achieve the DVBE Participation Goal must demonstrate good faith efforts made to achieve the DVBE Participation Goal. 12. Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the proposed price for any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be non-responsive and rejected by the District. Bid Security shall be submitted as detailed in project manual. 13. No Withdrawal of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding.
