Bids are invited for the Water Well #9 Maintenance and Rehab as described in the specifications, including mechanical brushing, jetting/cleaning, discharge piping. new pump and motor, color TV video, electrical and associated appurtenances. A bid bond/bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid, issued by an acceptable surety, shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Weimar or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined Department of Labor prevailing wage rates for Colorado County, Texas contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. The City of Weimar reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the Corporation for a period not to exceed forty (40) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. A Pre-Bid Conference will NOT be held, but all bidders are required to visit the job site prior to bid. Project shall be completed by May 20, 2022. Basis of award will be to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who provides goods or services at the best valuefor the city using the following criteria: the proposal price; the historical quality of the bidders goods or services; and the bidders past responsible performance, safety and working relationship with the corporation and other entities.
