Forest Stand Management Funded (GFS) Survey 63 openings with approximately 1,031 plots on 1,028 hectares on GFS funded openings. Survey types will be survival survey (SU), regen assessment (RA), regen stocking (RG), free grow (FG) and free grow multi (FG-Multi). Openings to survey are in various locations in the Thompson Rivers Forest District as per the Survey Overview Maps. Overview and opening maps are located on the following FTP site: ADD MAP LINKs Tenders must be submitted in accordance with the terms and conditions specified in the tender package. The lowest priced or any tender will not necessarily be accepted. This solicitation is subject to the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA), the Canada Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), the Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America on Government Procurement (CUSPA), and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA). The working term of the contract will be from April 1, 2022, to March 15, 2023. The services for this contracting opportunity are completing approximately 1,031 silviculture survey plots on 63 openings located throughout the Thompson Rivers Forest District. This includes conducting survival, regen assessment, regen stocking, free grow and multi-layer surveys, updating the survey activity and forest cover data, and uploading the surveys and spatial data into the Ministry's RESULTS database. The WWR surveys are not required to be submitted into RESULTS. Program Information The openings to be surveyed are located throughout Thompson Rivers Forest District. Majority of the openings have access with the use of 4x4 vehicles, however some will require an ATV. Geographic locations are on the survey unit maps. All maps are geo-referenced for use on an IPAD or other electronic devise. Site Conditions Depending on the weather events in the spring there may be access issues due to road washouts, or poor road conditions due to flooding and or heavy rains. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
