Bids will be presented to the School Board at the next succeeding regular Board meeting, all in accordance with Board policy. All bids shall be made in accordance with forms and specifications attached to and made a part of the proposed contract documents Inquiries should be sent kthompson@kochhazard.com, Bids and contracts shall be made in accordance with and subject to SDCL 5- 18A, 5-18B, 5-18C, 5-18D, 5-21, 5-22 and the provisions set forth in the specifications. Each bid which the aggregate amount for all items bid exceeds $15,000, must contain a certified check, cashier's check or draft for five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, such check or draft to be certified or issued by either a state or national bank and payable to the School District; or in lieu thereof, a bid bond for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid; such bond to be issued by a surety authorized to do business in this state and payable to the School District. Said certified check, cashier's check draft or bid bond guarantees the execution of a contract and shall be held by the School District until said contract is executed (SDCL 5-18-6 and 13-20-7). The cost of Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in the amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, is included in this Proposal. The School Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, and to waive any irregularities.
