Online Q&A Deadline March 24, 2022 4:00 PM (PST) Scope of work includes providing engineering design services to maximize treatment capacity by constructing new influent pump stations, headworks, odor control, screening, grit removal, storage, flow split structure, instrumentation & controls, and septage improvements, while achieving the following objectives: o Wetwell Storage & Equalization Structure, including septage storage tank o Address the flow and loading projections based on the recent residential growth; o Increase plant redundancy and reliability - including emergency standby electrical power; o Position WRP-10 for logical and modular future expansion beyond 2040 flow and loading requirements; o Prepare the WRP 10 to meet future and restrictive regulations without sacrificing previous expenditures on plant upgrades Water Reclamation Plant No. 10 (WRP 10) is owned and operated by CVWD. WRP 10 is located in the City of Palm Desert. It is an 18 million gallon per day (MGD) plant that contains three separate activated secondary treatment trains, referred to as Plant A, Plant B, and Plant C with rated hydraulic capacities of two (2) MGD, eight (8) MGD, and eight (8) MGD, respectively. WRP 10 currently operates with an average daily influent flow of 7.8 MGD and a peak daily flow of approximately 10 MGD. The projected average day flow rate for year 2045 is 14.0 mgd. CVWD intends to initiate this Project on May 09, 2022 with anticipated design completion by October 30, 2023 The purpose of the proposed expansion is to maximize treatment capacity by constructing new influent pump stations, headworks, odor control, screening, grit removal, storage, flow split structure, emergency standby electrical power and septage improvements, while addressing automation, redundacy, scada control, flow equalization, and efficiency.
