Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cortland, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The work site is located at 3111 Byrne Hollow Crossing, near the intersection with NYS Route 13 in the Town of Cortlandville. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment and other means of construction necessary and incidental to the completion the work shown on the Drawings and described in these Specifications including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: construction of an outdoor athletic complex including 2 full size synthetic turf baseball fields with dugout pads, bullpens, backstop netting system, and fencing & gates; sports field lighting; field irrigation; concrete sidewalks; electrical systems; storm water drainage and management; erosion and sediment control; landscaping; and complete site restoration. The Owner will complete the installation of the gravel parking lot expansion; handicap spaces and signage; wheel stops; storm water drainage and management for parking area; and landscaping for the parking area, which is noted on the Drawings. The Owner has awarded a separate contract to Field Turf USA/Chenango Contracting, Inc. to furnish and install Double Play Natural artificial turf for the two full size baseball fields, bullpens and velcro replacement areas; complete initial GMax testing; and provide the standard 8 year manufacturer’s insured warranty. Drawings and Specifications may be examined at the Town of Cortlandville, The Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building, 3577 Terrace Road, Cortland, New York 13045. Contractors that obtain Contract Documents from a source other than the Issuing Office must notify the Issuing Office in order to be placed on the official Plan Holders List, receive Addenda, and other Bid correspondence. Bids received from Contractors other than those on the official Plan Holders List will not be accepted. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. This is a lump sum bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the base bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804).
