The project scope for the Base bid and Alternate bids includes but is not limited to: For Roads with existing Concrete Curb and Gutter Remove asphalt and base while protecting existing curb and storm sewers Furnish, place, shape and compact limestone base as shown on the plans Prime coat application HMAC Surface construct new hot mix asphaltic concrete surface Clean up site For Roads with Open Ditch Pulverize existing road and mix/rework road base. Shape and compact Furnish, place, shape and compact limestone base as shown on the plans Prime coat application HMAC Surface construct new hot mix asphaltic concrete surface HMAC For Driveways as shown on the plans Backfilling of pavement edges Final site cleanup The City of Groves, Texas will accept sealed bids for furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for the City of Groves, Texas - 2021 GLO CDBG-DR Street Improvements Project GLO Contract No. 20-065-039-C120. The project is generally described as the rehabilitation of selected existing City Streets through the rehabilitation and placement of base materials and road surface materials as required in the contract documents. The right is reserved by the City of Groves, as the City's interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Groves; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
