A bid bond payable to the City of Avon Lake, Ohio in an amount equal to 10% of the total bid pursuant to Revised Code Section 153.54 as a guarantee, shall accompany the bid to ensure that if a contract is awarded it will be duly entered into and secured. The bid bonds of unsuccessful bidders will be returned promptly on the award of a contract to the successful bidder. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond acceptable to Avon Lake Regional Water in an amount equal to the contract price. Board of Municipal Utilities, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informality in the bid at the discretion of said Board.
