Site work for a water / sewer project in Billings, Montana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

As of April 18, 2022, project was awarded. Schedules 1 & 2--Water to Askin Construction in the amount of $3,795,999 and Schedules 3 and 4--Sewer to COP Construction, LLC in the amount of $2,934,748. The project consists of water and sanitary sewer main replacement work described in general by the following: Bid Schedules 1 and 2 comprise a single project consisting of water main replacement work. Schedule 1 - Water Main Replacement 4,950 LF of 8-inch PVC water main replacement in Yellowstone Avenue and Wyoming Avenue; fittings, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances; service reconnections and lead water service replacements; and associated work. Schedule 2 - Water Main Replacement 1,475 LF of 8-inch PVC water main replacement in Miles Avenue (Schedule 2A), 2,020 LF of 8-inch PVC water main replacement in North 31st Street (Schedule 2B), and 1,135 LF of 8-inch PVC water main replacement in 10th Avenue North (Schedule 2C); fittings, valves, hydrants, and appurtenances; service reconnections and lead water service replacements; and associated work. Bid Schedules 3 and 4 comprise a single project consisting of sanitary sewer main replacement work. Schedule 3 - Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement Base Bid: 3,160 LF of 8-inch PVC open-cut sewer main replacement and 985 LF of 8-inch CIPP sewer main in various alleys and streets generally west of Division Street and south of Grand Avenue; manholes, service reconnections, and associated work. The Base Bid will be combined with one of the following Bid Alternatives. Bid Alternative 3A: 4,080 LF of 8-inch PVC open-cut sewer main replacement. Bid Alternative 3B: 4,345 LF of 8-inch CIPP sewer main. Schedule 4 - Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement Base Bid: 995 LF of 8-inch CIPP sewer main in the alley between Terry and Miles Avenue from 4th Street West to Montana Avenue; manholes, service reconnections, and associated work. The Base Bid will be combined with one of the following Bid Alternatives. Bid Alternative 4A: 1,205 LF of 8-inch PVC open-cut sewer main replacement. Bid Alternative 4B: 1,205 LF of 8-inch CIPP sewer main. Contractor and any of the Contractor's subcontractors bidding or doing work on this project will be required to be registered with the Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI). Forms for registration are available from the Department of Labor & Industry, P.O. Box 8011, 1805 Prospect, Helena, Montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 406-444-7734. All laborers and mechanics employed by Contractor or subcontractors in performance of the construction work shall be paid wages at rates as may be required by the laws of Yellowstone County and the State of Montana. The Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to the "City of Billings, Montana" in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful bidders shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance as required shall be provided by the successful Bidder(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. Bids submitted via email shall have the bid bond scanned and included with the bid. Bids submitted via mail or hand delivered shall have any of the bid securities included.
