Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ferndale, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A single lump sum proposal is being entertained for the work for each project. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or a satisfactory Surety Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price as guaranty. No bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the School Board, or the Superintendent of Schools. The Owner will not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement. Proposals for base bids may not be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the time established for the receipt of proposals. Bidders may withdraw at any item prior to the time set for the receipt of proposals. Successful bidders whose proposals are $50,000 or more will be required to furnish a U.S. Treasury Listed Company Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of their bid. The cost of the Bond shall be included in each proposal.
