Martin Road Park Recreation Facility - Estimated construction costs: $7,250,000 (including 25% contingency) The City of Ferndale is pleased to request professional architectural and engineering services proposals to build a new city Recreational Facility in Martin Rd. Park. The Recreational Facility will consist of a state-of-the-art, four-season facility in Martin Road Park, a 32-acre park north of Orchard St, adjacent to the newly built Splashpad. This project will include designing and constructing a 9,200 square-foot recreation building with multi-use space, restrooms, and a changing area to accommodate the Splashpad, storage, and indoor/outdoor space for community gatherings for residents of Ferndale. This project will also locate and design parking, vehicle access, and utilities to support the amenities adjacent to the structure. The project location is in Martin Road Park just north of Orchard St., near the current picnic shelter adjacent to the splash pad; see enclosed location map.
