**As of April 13, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work consists of the removal and replacement of existing guardrails with new guardrails in three locations within the existing right of way, the replacement of existing end terminals, the construction of guardrail end anchor assemblies, the removal and replacement of existing W1-8 signs and posts and MGS delineators, traffic control, and all appurtenant work thereto necessary for the proper construction of the proposed improvements in accordance with the Project's Plans and Specifications. The goal of this guardrail improvement project is to replace three of the oldest and most antiquated guardrails with upgraded and enhanced guardrails to better absorb the impact from collisions and slow vehicles down. The electronic proposals shall be tabulated by the Anaheim City Engineer and the results thereof reported to the City Council for consideration at a meeting to be held no later than 90 days after the bid opening. It shall be mandatory upon the contractor to whom the contract is awarded, and upon any subcontractor under them, to pay not less than the higher of the two rates contained in the current general prevailing wage rate(s) and per diem rate(s), established by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California, (as set forth in the Labor Code of the State of California, commencing at Section 1770 et seq.), or by the Secretary of Labor (as set forth in Davis-Bacon Act, 40 U.S.C. 267a, et seq.).
