Sharon Township board of supervisors will accept bids for road construction for a term of two (2) years consisting of all the below listed jobs pertaining to road maintenance of 33 miles of road by: 1. Patrol and blade work by the hour 2. Snow plowing and sanding by the hour 3. Mowing ditches (1st & 2nd cutting by the mile: additional ditch mowing by the hour) 4. Brush and tree removal by the hour 5. Delivery of class 5-road gravel by the ton delivered anywhere in Sharon Township to include small patchwork in the spring. Gravel on township roads to be completed by July 1st of each year. 6. Sign repair and maintenance by the hour/unit 7. Annual sweeping of .42 miles of blacktop road 8. Miscellaneous trucking by the hour The contract will begin April 1, 2022 and end March 31, 2024. Each bidder will document on their monthly billings: dates of work, hours or miles, and submit gravel weigh tickets, all tied to the portion of road that was worked on and be available to attend township board meetings as requested by the Board. Each bidder will furnish proof of a minimum of $1,500,000.00 general liability and worker's compensation coverage to the town board with their bid. Each bidder will provide a list of equipment to be used and the Sharon Township Board reserves the right to inspect said equipment. The town board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to split roadwork among multiple contracts.
