Estimated Start Date: 04/11/2022 This contract is for roofing alterations at the Streets West Badger Maintenance Facility at 1501 W. Badger Road, Madison, WI. The alterations are to prepare for a new solar photovoltaic array installation. Work includes installation of roof anchors for solar racking attachment, PPE, and sealing penetrations for electrical conduit. The building has a Firestone 45 mil TPO roof and all work must maintain the existing roof warranty. The City does not have the submittal documents from the original roof installation, but estimate the TPO roof was installed over the building's original metal roof. Scope of work: - Installation of 675 Powergrip Plus roof anchors from OMG Roofing Products. All anchors will be centered on building purlins so a few of the fasteners will most likely need to penetrate the purlin in addition to the metal deck. The City shall provide the anchors and mark the locations for installation; the contractor shall provide manufacturer's recommended fasteners and associated equipment for installation. -Installation of 5 DBI-SALA Rooftop Anchors for fall protection. The scope of work includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and other services necessary to complete the work in accordance with the intent of this contract. The Contractor shall use properly functioning equipment capable of performing the tasks required. The Contractor shall furnish workers who perform quality work and who are experienced and knowledgeable in the work proposed.
