Site work and paving for a road / highway in Chatham, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Generally, the project includes construction of new concrete access road between Glenwood Middle School and Glenwood Intermediate School, fence work, pole building demolition, and related work as shown on drawings. All work shall be substantially complete by August 1, 2022. No bidder shall modify, withdraw or cancel his bid or any part thereof for sixty days after the time designated for the receipt of bids. Bidders shall submit with their bids a bid security (bid bond, certified check, bank draft or cashier's check), in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, made payable to the Board of Education, Chatham C.U.S.D. No. 5, Chatham, Illinois in the amount of 10% of bid. The Owner will require successful bidder to furnish, prior to the execution of a Contract, Performance and Payment Bonds in form similar to Form A312 currently issued by The American Institute of Architects or in such form as the Owner prescribes and with such sureties as approved by the Owner. Bonds shall be in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum and shall be in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The Contractor shall pay the premiums for these bonds. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity in the bids received, to reject any or all bids, in whole or in part; to determine which is the lowest responsible bid.
