DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This work will include sidewalk and driveway installation, pavement removal, sidewalk removal, curb & gutter, excavation for sidewalk, restoration, and all other appurtenance required to complete the improvements at the following Hobart Parks: Arbor Lane, Emily Silich, Englehart, Fred Rose, Glenwood, Hillman Heights, and McAfee Parks. Bids shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms contained in the Contract Documents obtainable from the office of Butler, Fairman & Seufert as stated above. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of sixty (60) days following the date set for receiving bids. The Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than sixty (60) days and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. The Board of Park Commissioners further reserves the right to waive informalities, and to award the contract to any Bidder, all to the advantage of the Board of Park Commissioners or to reject all bids. BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or cashier's check made payable to the City of Hobart or an acceptable bid bond in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. BONDS: A performance bond and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. A set consists of single copies of Plans, Specifications, and Plan Document. This remittance is non-refundable. INDIANA REQUIREMENT: Standard Questionnaire Form 96 (revised 1987) which includes non-collusion affidavit.
