This project generally consists of, but is not limited to, dry bore and jacking at two locations along US Highway 31W (North Dixie Highway): 167 linear feet of 16-inch diameter steel casing under Ring Road at its intersection with US Highway 31W and 120 linear feet of 16-inch diameter steel casing under Walmart Drive at its intersection with US Highway 31W in accordance with drawing & specifications prepared by Engineering Design Group, Inc. and Encroachment Permit issue by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Bidding documents may be examined at Engineering Design Group, Inc. located at 315 South Mulberry Street, Elizabethtown, Kentucky 42701. Contact Warren Clifford with Engineering Design Group, Inc. A certified check, made payable to Hardin County Water District #2, or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for Satisfactory Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds. The Performance and Labor and Materials Payment Bonds shall be executed by Surety Company possessing an A.M. Best Company rating of A - or better and which holds a certificate of Authority issued by the Department of Treasury and shall be listed as an acceptable surety in the Circular; published annually as of July 1 and licensed in the State of Kentucky. Construction must be completed within 90 calendar days after date of notice to proceed. Bids received after scheduled closing time for receipt of bids will be returned unopened to bidders. Any bid which is not submitted in the proper form will not be considered.
