The Dormitory Authority State of New York (DASNY) is seeking proposals from firms interested in providing loss control, risk management and site survey inspection services specific to construction hazards and site safety at various facilities. The successful firm(s) shall conduct pre-scheduled construction site safety surveys, by appointment, on a monthly basis. Additional services may include but are not limited to the investigation or evaluation of an accident, loss scene or event. Projects are geographically dispersed throughout New York State, with a large concentration in the Metro NYC area. Interested firms must: (1) be able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience providing loss control, risk management consulting and site surveys specific to construction site safety; (2) employ experienced staff with thorough knowledge of their area(s) of expertise; (3) have a strong knowledge of OSHA, NYC Department of Buildings and industry construction safety standards; and (4) have the ability to report findings in a written format submitted electronically to DASNY, contractors and site personnel. It is the goal of DASNY to encourage participation by qualified certified Minority, Woman and Small Business Enterprises (MWSBE) and Services-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) as part of your team to the maximum extent practical and consistent with legal requirements. In accordance with State Finance Law § 139-j and § 139-k, this solicitation includes and imposes certain restrictions on communications between Dormitory Authority personnel and an Offerer during the procurement process. Contacts made to other Dormitory Authority personnel regarding this procurement may disqualify the Offerer and affect future procurements with governmental entities in the State of New York. All proposers, domestic and foreign, must be in compliance with New York State business registration requirements. Contact the NYS Department of State regarding compliance. In addition, business entities proposing to provide professional engineering services must obtain a Certificate of Authorization to Provide Engineering Services in New York State from the State Education Department. Proposals must be submitted in the full legal name of the proposer, or the full legal name plus a registered assumed name of the proposer, if any. To avoid potential conflicts of interest, Construction Management firms with safety subsidiaries who are currently working directly or indirectly on any DASNY project are prohibited from responding to this solicitation.
