Scope : The Removal of Unoccupied, Dilapidated Structures project consists of the removal of building structures, building material, concrete work, gravel, asphalt, and other related items as described in Resolution No. 1752 at the following location: The successful bidder will agree to complete all work described in plans and specifications on or before April 29, 2022. Failure to complete the work within specified time limits shall subject the contractor to liquidated damages for delay. The attention of bidders is called to the fact that Act 150 of 1965 (as amended), Arkansas Statutes, states that a Contractor must be licensed by the State Licensing Board for Contractors before he may undertake work when the cost thereof in Arkansas is Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) or more. All submitted bids must include a copy of: 1)the State of Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board Certificate; 2)a certificate of general liability insurance carried by the bidder; By submitting bids to the City in consideration of this project, bidders agree, as evidenced by the submission of their bid to the City, to abide by the submission requirements as stated within this ad. All debris from the demolished structure on the land must be disposed of in a Class 1 Landfill and the landfill receipts for the depositing of the debris in the Class 1 Landfill must be turned in to the City of Russellville to attain payment for services rendered. The bid must itemize the costs of removal of each structure separately. The City of Russellville encourages participation of small, minority, and women owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods, services and construction, either as a general contractor or subcontractor. It is further requested that whenever possible, majority contractors who required sub-contractors seek qualified small, minority and woman owned businesses to partner with them. Proposals will be considered on the basis of cost, the bidder's financial responsibility, his equipment, and his past performance in completing similar work. The City of Russellville reserves the right to reject any or all bids to waive any formalities and to accept the proposal deemed to be for their best interest.
