Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Bluefield, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
The scope of the project is to rehabilitate the existing asphalt surface of Taxiways A, B, C, and D at the Mercer County Airport located in Bluefield, West Virginia. The rehabilitation will consist of removing the existing pavement markings to prevent shadowing, cleaning the surface of deleterious material, repairing existing cracks and joints by placing a refined coal tar emulsion surface treatment, and then placing airfield pavement markings. The refined coal tar emulsion surface treatment will be applied in two (2) coats. The Contractor will be required to achieve Substantial Completion within 60 calendar days and final completion and readiness for final payment within 90 calendar days of the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Mercer County Airport Authority, Bluefield, West Virginia, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Base Bid and Additive Alternate. The Mercer County Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
