Site work and paving for a civil project in Loch Sheldrake, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; road / highway; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

The project involves replacement of two (2) existing corrugated metal pipe culverts on Maplewood Avenue crossing Sheldrake Stream with a 2'-6" H x 12'-0" W Three-Sided Concrete Box Culvert. Replacement of culvert will require installation of a temporary detour road, temporary bypass pumping of existing sanitary sewer and provide new watermain, and removal and replacement of existing water and sewer main. The stream bed at the inlet and outlet will be protected with a light stone fill to dissipate energy and prevent scour. A natural stream bed material will be placed along the full alignment of the culvert. The section of Maplewood Avenue disturbed by construction will be paved as indicated on the drawings. Cofferdams and other erosion and sediment control measures will be used to prevent erosion to the stream and sediment in the lake. The work shall be bid on a lump sum basis, with the Contract awarded to the lowest responsible Contractor . The Town of Fallsburg strongly encourages MBE, WBE and Section 3 firms to bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. The Contractor shall include with his proposal, a signed "Statement of Non-Collusion" in the format contained herein. The $50.00 deposit will be refunded to those who submit a bid and return the complete set of documents in good order, to the Architect, within 30 days following the bid opening. Non-bidders including suppliers and subcontractors will not be eligible for refund.
