As of February 15, 2024, this project has been cancelled. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Sullivan County Community College (SCCC), in partnership with the County of Sullivan (the County), is preparing a funding application to the State University of New York (SUNY) for capital assistance for the construction of an Aquatic and Recreation Center on the SCCC Campus. NY Education Law 6310, Section 10 permits Sullivan County to apply for matching funds through SUNY for the New York State share of capital projects that are normally permitted within an approved capital construction budget. This facility is intended provide aquatic and recreation opportunities to both SCCC students as well as Sullivan County residents, in the form of recreational and competitive swimming and diving, indoor track and field events, aerobic fitness, and various other indoor recreation as provided for in the interior space of the indoor track. Support functions such as locker and team rooms, administration offices, and spectator support shall also be included. Based upon research of similar function facilities it is anticipated that the building will be approximately 135,000 square feet. Minimum programming needs include but are not limited to: 8 lane 25 meter competitive swimming pool with 13' diving depth 200 meter high school/collegiate competition indoor track w/field events in proximity Multi use surface interior track area with dividers (indoor soccer, volleyball courts, pickle ball, etc.) Spectator Viewing for both aquatic/diving and track and field competitions Locker Rooms and Team Rooms Aerobic fitness center - College and Public use Reception Lobby Spectator Support such as Concessions, Restrooms, etc. Facility Operations and Administration offices Secure Storage Area for Equipment Janitorial and Mechanical room(s) Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Total MWBE Participation Goals: 20% The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
