Work items include, but are not limited to: 2,761 CY Excavation, Various Classes 39,018 SY Milling of Bituminous Pavement Surface, Various Depths 4,537 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Wearing Course, Various Depths 584 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Binder Course, Various Depths 463 TON Superpave Asphalt Mixture, Base Course, Various Depths 811 TON Subbase, (No. 2A), Various Depths 714 TON Subbase Under Guide Rail 362 LF 6" Pavement Base Drain 2,163 LF Guide Rail, Various Types 1,446 LF Removal of Existing Guide Rail, Various Types 440 LF Single Face Concrete Barrier, 52" 103 LF 60" Diameter Drilled Caissons, Shaft Section in Soil 49 LF 60" Diameter Drilled Caissons, Shaft Section in Rock 52 LF 72" Diameter Drilled Caissons, Shaft Section in Soil This project is located between Milepost 332.52, approximately 0.7 miles west of Norristown Interchange, Exit 333 in Montgomery County, and Milepost 348.90, approximately 2.6 miles west of Bensalem Interchange, Exit 351, in Bucks County, Pennsylvania An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project. The opening and listing of bids not meeting all the terms and conditions of the bid advertisement or bid procedures does not act as a waiver or modification of any requirements contained in the bid advertisement or bid procedure The Provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, together with the rates and regulations promulgated by the Secretary of Labor and Industry applicable thereto, shall apply to this contract.
