The construction of +- 1.24 miles of grading complete, including +- 16,523 SY of 8" GAB, +- 1821 tons of 12.5mm Superpave, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Long County prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to the Long County, Georgia, for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. All work on the Project must be completed within 210 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968. The Policy requires that contracting opportunities should be posted or advertised in a minimum of three locations. All contracts are subject to Federal and State contract provisions prescribed by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs. This project is covered under the requirements of Section 3 of the HUD Act of 1968, as amended and Section 3 Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Long County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
