The Town of Westminster is accepting separate sealed bids from qualified Contractors for 20% Asphalt Rubber Seal Surface Treatment. The Town of Westminster reserves the right to accept or reject, in whole or in part, any or all bids, and to take whatever other action deemed necessary to be in the best interest of the Town The work to be done under this item shall consist of all the operations and furnishing all the materials, labor and equipment necessary for applying hot, rubberized asphalt and immediately embedding aggregate therein by spreading and rolling, in accordance with these specifications on properly prepared Hot-Mix Asphalt Roadways. This is also commonly referred to as Stress Absorbing Membrane (SAM) or a Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer (SAMI). The project quantity to be supplied is 120,000 SQUARE YARDS. The bidder understands that the quantities stated are approximate and should not be interpreted as the actual quantities the Town will purchase or be committed to purchase. The Contractor shall demonstrate to the satisfaction of the Town that the equipment, crew and construction methods to be used are capable of completing the work in accordance with these specifications
