In accordance with MGL c. 30 section 39m, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a contractor to haul catch basin debris from the Town of Franklin stockpile and dispose of debris in compliance with MA DEP rules and regulations. The work shall include removing all deposited material from the stockpile at the Town of Franklin DPW yard adjacent to 257 Fisher Street, Franklin, MA. The successful bidder is expected to dispose of catch basin material as directed by the Environmental Affairs Superintendent or his designee. The material shall be handled in accordance with Massachusetts Catch Basin Material hauling and disposal regulations. Bidders are encouraged to contact the Mass DEP for rules and regulations regarding catch basin cleanings that may affect the bid dollar amounts and the proper disposal of these materials. This bid opportunity is for the furnishing of all equipment, labor and materials necessary to haul and dispose of the stockpiled material at a licensed disposal site or other permitted processing facility. The Town will supply the machines and labor to load the disposal vehicles. Work is to be completed prior to the June 30, 2022. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work.
